OUR PROCESS
Why Transparency Matters
Before we get started, let’s discuss the elephant in the room… Yes, we are a new company fighting for space in your golf bag. Although not new to the business of golf, we are new to the business of golf balls. We strive to offer you trustworthy, consistent, and dependable products that you can rely on to help improve your game.
We do not expect you to trust Crush Golf of the gate, but we hope to earn your trust over time. We pledge to always be transparent in our process, goals, and mission as a business. That starts from day one, and we welcome you along on our journey together.
Our Manufacturing Process, Today.
The Crush Golf Ball Manufacturing process starts in Taiwan. As much as we’d like to make 100% of our golf balls in-house, in the USA, we are not a private equity funded startup, or offshoot of another large brand. We are direct to consumer manufacturing experts from Florida with a passion for golf and the shift towards athletics and precision. Read below to understand our manufacturing process and the measures we’ve taken to ensure quality and consistency across all Crush Golf Balls while focusing on our 100% in-house vision.
Step 1 Material Sourcing
Materials for all Crush Golf Balls are sourced globally and shipped to our manufacturing partner in Taiwan. This includes the actual polymer compound that makes up 90% of the ball.
Step 2 Blank Manufacturing
In an effort to control as much of the process early on as possible, blank, or unpainted and marked golf balls will be produced in Taiwan to specific and rigorous Crush Golf specifications. These are NOT off the shelf products and commonly used compounds.
Step 3 QAQC #1
American, Crush Golf personnel oversee production alongside our manufacturing partner on-site. Each lot is quality tested by our American team and checked for balance, weight, size, and finish prior to shipping.
Step 4 Bulk Shipping
The ‘blank’ Crush Golf Balls are labeled / packaged in bulk and shipped via fast-boat to Crush HQ in Florida. This means they will be on the water for approximately one week.
Step 5 QAQC #2 + Testing
Each lot is inspected by Crush Golf staff prior to the shipment being accepted. This includes a visual inspection, size and weight measurement, and compression test.
Step 6 Paint
The Balls are painted in-house at Crush HQ in Florida using our semi-automated golf ball painting and curing line.
Step 7 Patent Pending Balancing
Any Crush Golf Ball that is offered with our balance marking service undergoes the Crush proprietary balancing process*. The balance point is marked faintly on the ball and these balls are set aside for special finishing. *PATENT PENDING
Step 8 Finishing
The Crush logo, number, model, and alignment aid are printed on the now painted Golf Ball. Balls with balancing service are also printed at this time to indicate the balance point of the ball, perfectly in line with the alignment aid.
Step 9 QAQC #3 + Live Testing
The golf ball now looks complete and is ready for use. After the curing process the balls are again quality checked to ensure they fall within all major tour Specifications for size and weight. Every lot is tested by an actual human with a golf club (not a machine) both on the range outside and indoors on the sim. We use leading launch monitor tech to ensure each ball performs as claimed.
Step 10 Packaging
Our sleeve boxes, dozen boxes, and outer cartons are all made in the USA. Our printer is family owned and located in Wisconsin. These boxes come to us flat, and our automated equipment fills each sleeve and dozen box. A human seals the dozen box with a sticker and allocates them for distribution!
Our Manufacturing Process
Tomorrow
Our goal by 2027 is to expand our manufacturing facility in Florida and bring the entire process in-house. Although we feel strongly that our Taiwanese partners are incredible at what they do, we believe that American Made products by hard-working American hands are the best in the world. Beyond manufacturing 100% of Crush Golf Balls stateside, we plan to open a state of the art research and development facility to conduct all prototype and new ball development at a single Florida campus.
Yes, our ambitions are high but with your support and our commitment to quality, we can and will get there together.
